Some of the Bengal Bomb Squad's superfans will be with the members of Pro Football's Ultimate Fan Association at "First Play 2012!" Superfans from every NFL team will meet & greet children of all ages and their families as they eagerly await the ball to pass their way!
From the Pro Football Hall of Fame website:
The First Play 2012 event features a three-mile long human chain of area youngsters that will stretch from the Frank T. Bow Building in downtown Canton (201 2nd Street S.W.) where the NFL was founded in 1920, to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. More than 1,500 area youths between the ages of six and seventeen are expected to participate in this exciting event.
By tossing an official NFL football from one participant to the next along the route until it reaches its final destination, the Pro Football Hall of Fame, First Play 2012 kicks off the NFL preseason.
This one-of-kind event will take place on Thursday, August 2, 2012, beginning at 10 a.m. and will conclude at approximately 11:30 a.m. Following the event, each participant will receive a sandwich courtesy of Chick-fil-A and beverage on the Hall of Fame grounds (serving until 12:30 p.m.). All participants will also receive a First Play 2012 T-shirt (while supplies last), and free admission to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Thursday, August 2, 2012. Children must be wearing their First Play 2012 T-shirt or have an admission voucher to be admitted in the Hall of Fame without charge.
